These online courses are designed to give students who are going into Year 13 the boost they need to go into their final A Level year with confidence.
Tutors will guide students through all the content they should have covered in Year 12, refreshing knowledge of content which may have been forgotten over the summer. Any gaps in learning which may hinder progress in Year 13 will be identified and addressed by the tutor. Classes are separated by exam board and are spread over three days to give students time to go over content in depth. Once topics have been covered, tutors will go through past paper questions to consolidate knowledge and practice exam technique. Skills learnt on the course can be used by students once back at school to help boost grades.
Learners are supported beyond the course through the provision of high-quality, comprehensive and original material including notes, guides and question booklets. These resources have been specially designed and created to supplement the learning experience and support students beyond the course.
If you need help deciding if you will benefit from this course you can contact us. Alternatively, you may prefer to book 1-2-1 tuition instead.
Classes are from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Registration starts from 9.15am.
There will be a 1 hour lunch break and a couple of 10 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.
At PMT Courses we work with a talented team of professional teachers and tutors, many of whom have worked at some of the best-rated schools in the UK. We’ve recruited them not only for their exceptional academic credentials but also for their innovative teaching styles, infectious enthusiasm, and wealth of experience too.
Peter graduated from St John’s College, Oxford University, with two master’s degrees (including Computer Science), a BSc in Physics, and a PGCE in Secondary School Science. On top of that, he also has 20 years of experience working in programming and IT project management. Today Peter is an experienced A Level Physics and Computer Science teacher, working at a further education college and tutoring privately.
During his career, Peter has taught a wide range of students of all ability levels, many of whom have gone on to study at leading institutions. Whether he’s teaching physics or computer science, Peter believes taking a practical approach and doing is the best way for students to learn – particularly when it comes to problem-solving. He also has a ‘no stupid questions’ policy – given that ‘stupid questions’ have often led to some of the greatest scientific answers of our time.
If you would like 1-2-1 tuition with Peter you can find his profile on our tuition platform.
Darren completed a BSc in Theoretical Physics at the University of York, before taking on an MSc in Theoretical Physics at the University of Glasgow – the latter awarding him with a postgraduate excellence scholarship.
After exploring a variety of career paths, including engineering, Darren eventually settled on teaching and hasn’t looked back. Since becoming a teacher and A Level maths and physics tutor, he’s acquired a wealth of experience working across different school contexts and exam boards. He’s currently completing an MA in Leadership in Learning, to further his skills even more.
