Chemistry A Level Summer Revision Course – Online

Course Information

Course Description

These online courses are designed to give students who are going into Year 13 the boost they need to go into their final A Level year with confidence.

Tutors will guide students through all the content they should have covered in Year 12, refreshing knowledge of content which may have been forgotten over the summer. Any gaps in learning which may hinder progress in Year 13 will be identified and addressed by the tutor. Classes are separated by exam board and are spread over three days to give students time to go over content in depth. Once topics have been covered, tutors will go through past paper questions to consolidate knowledge and practice exam technique. Skills learnt on the course can be used by students once back at school to help boost grades.

Learners are supported beyond the course through the provision of high-quality, comprehensive and original material including notes, guides and question booklets. These resources have been specially designed and created to supplement the learning experience and support students beyond the course.

Suitable for:

  • Students entering year 13
  • Students looking to review year 12 subject knowledge, ready to go back to school
  • Students going into year 12
  • Students wanting to focus purely on exam technique

If you need help deciding if you will benefit from this course you can contact us. Alternatively, you may prefer to book 1-2-1 tuition instead.

Rob M.

Rob M.

Rob attended the University of Southampton and achieved a first class master’s in Chemistry. Since graduating, he’s been teaching for over six years and is the head of chemistry at a large secondary school in Hampshire. He’s been teaching the subject at A Level for his entire career, giving him a thorough knowledge of OCR exam board specifications.

Rob is passionate about his subject, in particular, organic chemistry and how it provides a toolkit to synthesise medicines and materials that shape our lives today and in the future. His teaching style focuses on the importance of precision of knowledge and helping his students develop context-based understanding and application skills using past paper questions. When he’s not teaching or tutoring GCSE, IGCSE and A Level Chemistry students, Robert enjoys taking to the stage in plays and musicals across the south coast.

How do your online A Level Chemistry revision courses work?

Our online revision courses take place within Google Classroom, keeping everything organised in one convenient hub. From here, you’ll be able to access our bespoke course resources and join the live lessons which take place on Google Meet.

Students can interact with the teacher using their microphone or the chat feature.

All sessions are recorded. The lesson recordings are uploaded after each day, allowing you to watch them back for a recap whenever you like.

When will I receive the Google Classroom link for my revision course?

You should receive your Google Classroom link via email the day before your course starts. Sometimes these emails go to the junk folder so check there before contacting us if you haven’t received it.

When will I receive my printed revision course handouts?

You will receive physical copies of the handouts 3-5 days before the start of your course, as long as you book with us before the printing deadline. You can find the printing deadline in the course summary box on each booking page.

Please note: we can only send printed handouts to students in the UK.

What if my exam board isn’t listed?

If you can’t see your exam board then we are afraid we aren’t running a course for it. However, this doesn’t mean that one of our courses won’t be useful for you. Contact us to see which course is more closely aligned with your exam board.
