I am a Computer science (BSc) graduate that has graduated with the highest 1st class grade and gained many years of experience working within a very active teaching environment at both private and state schools. I currently teach IT/Computing at level 2 (GCSE) and Level 3 (AS/A-Level) in one of the best outstanding rated sixth form in the City.

With years of teaching experience, I offer high quality and well structured tuition sessions for learners that will be taking GCSE or A level exams in these subjects. I also provide general ICT & Computing classes for learners that are willing to broaden their knowledge or expertise in this area.

Many of my previous students have passed their re-sit exams after failing with other tutors and 97% have achieved at least 2 grades higher than their predicted grade.

My tuition has 2 key objectives which are fundamental to exam success:

1. Developing technical knowledge – Professional exams can initially seem incredibly complicated and can be unlike any other subject students have studied before. My approach simplifies the subject and teaches the most examinable content in a way that students can readily and easily understand. My students find that my methods of teaching are far more effective than the standardised approach used by 'large classroom' tuition providers.

2. Mastering exam technique – The next step is teaching students how to approach each type of question in the exam and how write their answers as concisely as possible whilst demonstrating the full spectrum of their newly acquired knowledge. This ensures that the student completes the exam within the time whilst also writing all the points which will be on the mark scheme. 

I have studied the syllabus and past exam papers for all popular exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC & Educas. This has allowed me to develop unique exam strategies for each style of question in the exam as I can predict with near certainty what will be on the mark scheme.

My Teaching entails a combination of technical presentations, calculation techniques and shortcuts, interactive examples, bespoke exam strategies, past paper questions and learning tips. Lesson resources that include PowerPoint presentations and worksheets are made available to my students to aid and assist them in revision.
