Gearing up for your end of year exams? Our one-day A Level Physics exam technique course is a fantastic way to get up to speed.
During the course, our tutors – many of themselves professional examiners – will help students develop the knowledge and skills to maximise their marks and overcome the common challenges they can expect. They’ll learn the most effective ways to answer different types of question, from multiple choice, practical and calculation to those daunting high questions – which can be notoriously difficult to get right. In addition, our tutors will also assist students with their time management skills, ensuring they’re pacing themselves properly and not racing against the clock on exam day.
Students will leave this course feeling prepared and polished, ready to take on their A Level Physics Exam with confidence.

Classes are from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Registration starts from 9.15am.
There will be a 1 hour lunch break and a couple of 10 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.

Tom has a BSc in Physics from the University of Bristol. After graduating, he returned to university to earn his PGCE, gaining experience teaching OCR A Level Physics and BTEC Applied Science at a further education college. He then spent six years teaching physics to students aged 13 to 18 before deciding to pursue an MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Alongside his studies, Tom continues to tutor physics and maths at secondary level across different exam board specifications. He is also responsible for creating PMT’s A Level Physics exam question video tutorials.

Afiya holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Sussex and a PGCE from the UCL Institute of Education. In addition to over 10 years of experience as a science teacher and tutor, she also works as a trainer for Google for Education and an examiner for various exam boards. If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, she also produces content for revision courses and various science content creators.
Afiya believes in making physics accessible as a subject, adapting her engaging teaching style to the needs of each of her students. Her tech-enabled lessons focus on understanding key concepts, terminology, and exam technique – the ingredients for a top grade.

John is a seasoned A Level Physics lecturer with 15 years of classroom experience and serves as an examiner for AQA. He holds a joint honours bachelor’s degree in Physics and Computer Science from Manchester University and is currently pursuing an MSc in Space and Quantum Physics at the Open University. He is also a part-time online tutor.
John’s enthusiasm for science shines through in his teaching. He coordinates the A Level science team at his workplace and holds a PGCE with distinction from Manchester Metropolitan University and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Although he specialises in AQA and OCR A, he has experience teaching a range of exam boards, as well as the International Baccalaureate. His students consistently meet or exceed their minimum expected grades.
With a background in IT as the European Head of IT for a major chemical company, John brings real-world experience to his lessons, solidifying student learning through examples and anecdotes. Growing up in Sweden, he is fluent in both Swedish and English and values multiculturalism. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, gaming, reading sci-fi, listening to heavy metal and symphonic metal music, and spending time with his two grandchildren.
