About Victor
I am an MSci Physics graduate from University College London (UCL), with academic specialisation in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, and Computational Physics. My degree combined advanced mathematics, theoretical physics, scientific programming, and data analysis, and my master’s project focused on quantum autoencoders for anomaly detection in particle-physics data. I also contributed to technical research at the UCL Observatory, where I worked on a Python-based calibration pipeline for telescope camera instrumentation.
I completed A-Levels in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer Science, and Portuguese, alongside strong GCSE results across core subjects. I tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and general Science across secondary and pre-university levels, including GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level pathways. I can support students across major exam board formats, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas, CCEA, and Cambridge International, and I am confident working with past papers, specification content, and exam-marking expectations. My background combines high-level STEM training with proven teaching experience, giving students both subject depth and reliable exam-focused support.
Tutoring Style
My tutoring style is active, structured, and personalised to each student. I begin by identifying the exact gaps in understanding, then break topics into clear, manageable steps so students can build knowledge with confidence. I use targeted questioning throughout lessons to keep students engaged and thinking independently, rather than memorising procedures without understanding.
I create a calm, encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Lessons typically combine concise explanation, worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style application so students can move from “I understand it” to “I can solve it myself.”
I adapt resources to the student’s goals and level, including topic worksheets, specification-linked questions, past papers, and mark schemes. For exam preparation, I focus on command words, timing, structure, and error analysis, so students learn how to translate knowledge into marks consistently.
I also support study skills beyond subject content: revision planning, active recall, spaced practice, and how to approach difficult questions under pressure. My goal is to help students become confident, motivated, and progressively more independent learners.
