I'm a highly experienced and supportive geography tutor with extensive knowledge of both GCSE and A level. Alongside teaching and tutoring, I work as a senior examiner and trainer for GCSE Geography and an examiner and trainer for A level Geography. This gives me detailed insight into how exams are marked and what students need to do to maximise their grades.  

By combining excellent subject knowledge with examiner expertise, I help students build their confidence, strengthen key skills and achieve excellent outcomes. Above all, I aim to make geography engaging and enjoyable, so that students not only succeed in their exams, but also develop a genuine interest in the subject.

Specialist A level support

I have supported hundreds of A level students with their NEA, guiding them from initial research and concept development, through to setting manageable aims and producing high-quality projects. I also provide support with UCAS Personal Statements and Oxbridge interviews.

My tutoring is student-centred, ensuring each student develops both a strong geographical understanding and the exam skills needed for top grades. My sessions are interactive, engaging and tailored to individual needs, with a focus on: 

* Key geographical concepts and case studies - I break down complex concepts to aid understanding and use topical case studies to support engagement.

* Skills development – I support students with key geographical skills such as data interpretation, map reading, analysis, and fieldwork techniques.

* Exam technique – I help students to understand command words, structure responses effectively and apply knowledge appropriately to maximise marks. 

* Targeted exam practice and feedback – I provide effective support and feedback with past paper questions, helping students to refine their answers and improve their exam performance.
