I am a passionate and enthusiastic geography teacher with 8 years of teaching experience. I have also been coaching and tutoring for several years. Exam groups I taught have achieved very high with many accessing the top grades. I have success in raising achievements for SEN/ EAL students and support Higher Prior Attainment students reach their full potential. 20% of students in my last exam group achieved grade 9 in GCSE Geography. 

I can offer bespoke geography lessons from KS3 to KS5 level. Provide tailored tutoring for exam preparations. Support with essay writing, NEAs for A level and writing a strong personal statement for UCAS. I can provide online or in person sessions, revision/ assessment resources as well as feedback.

Exam Board expertise in AQA GCSE and A-level, however, I do also have a good grasp and tutor students taking other major exam board specifications such as Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge International. I have worked as an examiner so I know the specific requirements to access the highest grades.

About me: I hold a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Nottingham and studied a range of Geography topics and a PGCE (with Merit) also from the University of Nottingham. NPQLTD a DfE accredited qualification which has helped me with improving school outcomes.

I am also UNCC:Learn accredited Climate Change Teacher.

At my secondary school I studied A-levels in Geography, Maths and Physics. I am also fluent in Japanese. I also have achieved Grade 8 piano in ABRSM exams.

I have a full and current DBS/ PVG so that you can be confident in a safe and professional learning environment.

I like to create a positive learning environement and provide engaging resources for all my students. Focusing on breaking down exam questions and applying examples relevant to individual students. As an experienced teacher I have a bank of resources available for revision and can create tailored resources for various learners.
I like to start with identifying student's strength and weaknesses so that we can come up with achievable targets to work on.
