Hello! I’m Lisa, and I have over 15 years of experience helping students of all ages flourish in English and Drama/Theatre Studies. With a master’s degree and a background in professional theatre—West End, regional tours, and live events—I bring both expertise and passion to every lesson.

I love tailoring lessons to each student, whether they’re preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, National 5s, or working on essays and personal statements. My approach combines curriculum knowledge with real-life theatre experience, making texts like Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, or A Midsummer Night’s Dream come alive. I also guide students through a wide range of literature and English Language skills, helping them analyse unseen texts and poetry; develop their writing with confidence.

Over the years, I’ve been proud to see students achieve amazing results—from boosting grades well above predictions to passing with confidence. Last year, all my GCSE students passed, with over 95% exceeding predicted grades, and all A-Level students surpassed theirs. Beyond exam success, I aim to inspire a love of learning, build confidence, and support every student’s individual journey.

I also have experience running group workshops in schools and at universities, including Oxford, helping students explore Shakespeare in depth.
