I am an experienced online Maths tutor who works exclusively with A-Level students. Tutoring is my full-time profession, and I now work with students from across the UK and beyond.

I have supported A-Level Maths students with a wide range of goals, from those aiming for top grades to those who feel overwhelmed by the jump from GCSE or by the demands of the course.

Alongside my academic experience, I am known for being patient, calm, and clear in my explanations. I place a strong emphasis on communication and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging fully with the subject. Earlier in my career, I also taught A-Level Maths in a university classroom setting to foundation-year students.

As A-Level Maths builds steadily on earlier topics, small gaps in understanding can easily develop and begin to hold students back. In the first few lessons, I focus on identifying these gaps alongside any weaknesses in exam technique, before putting together a clear plan so students know exactly what we are working towards.

Lessons combine clear explanation with guided practice and exam-style questions. As an examiner, I place a strong emphasis on precision, clear working, and understanding how marks are awarded, helping students avoid common pitfalls and perform more consistently under exam conditions.

I aim to create a calm and supportive working environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking aloud. Whether a student is pushing for top grades or rebuilding confidence, sessions are focused, purposeful, and designed to support steady progress over time.

The way I work with students naturally depends on their situation. Some students I support over a longer period, developing understanding carefully and building confidence as the course progresses. Others may need more targeted support, with a stronger focus on specific topics or exam preparation in the lead-up to assessments. In both cases, sessions are adapted to make the best use of the time available.
