Hi, my name is Jade, a medical student from the University of St Andrews. 

I have tutored students for 5 years for a range of subjects from the 11+, GCSE and with A Level Biology and Chemistry. I have also tutored numerous aspiring medical students with their UCAT, personal statements and medicine school interviews with all of them gaining a UCAT score in the top 10% and some students having received all 4 out of 4 offers from their first-choice medical schools, including oxbridge in the 2025-2026 admissions cycle. 

Academic tutoring in GCSE & A level Biology + Chemistry

I usually structure my lessons as follows:

1. Introduction/go through difficult questions/recap from previous lesson

2. Introduction to new topic(s)

3. Practice/exam questions to consolidate

4. Homework questions set to solidify understanding (+extension tasks/ stretch questions to challenge yourself!)

Along with building strong foundational understanding of content, I specialise in building good exam technique, time management, and past paper practise.

For interviews, I start with building a good foundation on high yield topics such as the 4 pillars of ethics, and medical ethics. Then, I provide tailored mock interviews with feedback, closely mirroring real interviews using a range of real past interview questons. 

For Personal Statements, I provide detailed, real-time reviews, focusing on producing polished and impactful personal statements.

For the UCAT (Medicine and Dentistry), I emphasise on building exam techniques, strategies and time management skills based on previous success stories. Sessions include detailed feedback, exam technique, in-session practice questions, and full mock support to help you maximise your score.
