I am a qualified teacher of maths (QTS). I have been teaching maths and physics for more than ten years. I am one of a few teachers in the country who deliver Masterclasses in maths for the Royal Institution. I have obtained BSc in mathematical physics and MSc in Maths from QMUL. Since then, I have been teaching part-time and researching in Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Mechanics. After completing my teacher training with outstanding, I became the Head of Maths in a top-achieving sixth form college with excellent exam results. During this time, I took part in a 2-years government-funded project focussing on maximizing students` chances to achieve A/A* in the exams. I worked with top achieving independent schools in the UK, including Eton, St Paul`s School London and Wellington. I also work as an Oxbridge coordinator and strategist to maximize students’ chances of entering top-achieving universities. I currently work part-time as a lecturer of mathematics at a university in the UK.

I think through about my lessons, and my teaching is student-centred. I teach by questioning rather than simply telling students the answer. I also strongly encourage my students to ask questions themselves because, as Cantor said, “the art of asking questions is more valuable than solving them”. I lead my students into an intuitive understanding of the topic before I introduce any mathematical reasoning. I think I can confidently say that students enjoy my lessons.
