I am a fully qualified science teacher with experience teaching biology, chemistry, and physics from KS3 through to GCSE. My specialist subject is chemistry. I have over nine years of experience teaching OCR and five years of tutoring AQA, and I have also taught Edexcel and IGCSE science.

Engaging students in their learning often means taking a creative approach, and this has led me to use a wide range of active learning strategies in the classroom. I prioritise immediate, constructive feedback and work proactively to address misconceptions, ensuring students meet the demands of the updated KS3 and GCSE curricula. I am also familiar with the A‑level curriculum, which allows me to build strong links between GCSE content and sixth‑form study

I am experienced with the new GCSE (9-1) science curriculum and my teaching approach is tailored to the students' strengths and needs. I help pupils to understand and apply the command words, exam technique and its importance in improving grades. I have experience in teaching online and the lessons are tailored to the exam board and students’ needs. I include a variety exam style questions in my lessons to recap disciplinary knowledge and substantive knowledge to include compulsory practicals and its applications.
