I am a highly experienced educator with nearly four decades of teaching Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science. My primary focus is Physics, where I continue to develop both my subject knowledge and teaching practice.

I specialise in helping students build real understanding, particularly those ready to engage actively with the subject. My lessons are designed for students who already have a basic grasp of the syllabus and want to deepen their knowledge and problem-solving skills. I focus on clarity, structure, and patience, ensuring students develop confidence and competence in the material.

I do not teach memorised shortcuts or “tips and tricks.” Instead, my teaching is concept-driven: I focus on understanding the underlying principles of physics so students can reason through new problems, apply concepts in unfamiliar situations, and communicate answers clearly. This approach naturally supports exam success without sacrificing real understanding.

I limit my teaching to a small number of students each week to ensure focused, high-quality lessons and personalised support.

My teaching begins with a firm grasp of fundamental concepts and precise definitions. Lessons are concept-driven, with carefully selected examples and past exam questions used to apply learning in context. I emphasise understanding first, then show students how to express that understanding clearly in assessment situations.

I tailor explanations to each student’s level, making complex ideas accessible without oversimplifying. I work best with students who are motivated, willing to engage with the material, and ready to take responsibility for their own learning.
