Hello, I’m Christopher, an experienced and dedicated Biology educator with over 17 years of teaching experience. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Genetics from the University of Leeds, am a qualified teacher and examiner, and have successfully supported many students in achieving excellent results in AQA and Cambridge IGCSE Biology, as well as AQA A-Level Biology.

I currently teach at an independent school, working with a diverse range of learners, including international students and those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). I’ve also completed the National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching (NPQLT), which has strengthened my ability to deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons that build confidence and improve attainment.

My teaching combines deep subject expertise, examiner insight, and personalised support. Whether you’re aiming to boost confidence after mocks, push for an A*, or develop a deeper understanding of challenging topics, I’ll help you make clear, measurable progress.

My tutoring style is structured, adaptive, and exam-focused, designed to help you both understand and apply Biology effectively.

Each session begins by checking where you are up to with your current teacher(s) and identifying your strengths and areas for development. This ensures that the tutoring complements your school learning and targets exactly what you need. I’m flexible in my approach, sessions can focus on exam practice, revisiting and reinforcing key content, or pre-teaching upcoming topics to give you a head start in class.
