I’m a fully qualified Business and Economics teacher with over 11 years’ experience teaching in outstanding UK and leading international schools.

Unlike many tutors, I haven’t just succeeded in exams myself. I’ve spent over a decade delivering top results with entire classes, year after year. As a former Head of Business and Economics, I’ve supported hundreds of students through GCSE, IGCSE and A-level across different exam boards.

I also have examiner experience for Edexcel and AQA, meaning I understand exactly how marks are awarded and how to structure answers to consistently reach the top bands.

My students have achieved exceptional outcomes, including the highest A-level Economics result in Hong Kong and across Asia, alongside consistently high proportions of A*-A grades. Most recently, a full cohort of 32 A-level Economics students achieved 97% A*-B, demonstrating strong whole class impact. With 1-1 tuition, this level of success can be targeted even more precisely to the individual student.

I’ve worked with a wide range of students, including those with additional learning needs, those who initially disliked Economics (and ended up loving it) and high-achievers aiming for A/A*.

Every lesson includes retrieval practice, exam questions and clear feedback so students know exactly what to do to improve.

Having taught hundreds of students, I’ve seen the same mistakes come up again and again, so I’m quick to spot where students are going wrong and how to fix it. I focus lessons on what each student needs most, rather than working through content for the sake of it.

A big part of my teaching is exam technique, as this is where many students lose marks, this is where my examiner experience comes in particularly useful. We work on building strong chains of knowledge, application, analysis and evaluation so students can access higher marks consistently.

I don’t take a one-off approach to tutoring. I work with students over time, genuinely invested in their progress and focused on helping them reach their end goal.

The aim is simple: steady improvement and getting them to the grade they’re capable of.
