About Me:

Welcome! I’m Aahad, a dedicated and passionate tutor specializing in Economics and Maths. With a first-class degree in Economics from University College London (UCL) and over 7 years of tutoring experience, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals and unlock their full potential.

My Background:

I graduated from UCL with top honors, earning a first-class degree in Economics. My academic journey began with exceptional success in A-levels, where I achieved 3 A* grades. During my time at UCL, alongside my rigorous coursework and intensive research, I dedicated myself to tutoring students. This experience allowed me to develop effective teaching methods and a passion for helping others understand and excel in Economics and Maths.

Tutoring Experience

Over the past 7+ years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of students, ranging from KS3 to A level students. My extensive tutoring experience has equipped me with the skills to tailor my teaching methods to each student’s unique learning style. I believe in creating an engaging, supportive, and interactive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and express their thoughts. 

Economics:

For Economics, I provide students with detailed and comprehensive notes, saving them time from searching for notes online independently so they can focus on memorizing and understanding the material. These notes are accessible through a shared Google Doc, allowing students instant access to high-quality resources. Throughout the academic year, I intensely cover all areas of the specification and ensure students are competent in drawing diagrams, and definitions, and understanding advantages and disadvantages. To reinforce learning, I regularly have students write paragraphs to improve their structure and chains of analysis. Continuous testing ensures they stay on top of the work, and I set regular essays and exam questions to enhance their exam writing skills. 

Maths:

In Maths, my approach is structured and progressive. I begin by teaching the core content and setting relevant questions to solidify understanding. As students become more confident, I introduce more difficult questions to challenge them further. Homework is assigned regularly to reinforce learning, and we work through exam questions per topic to prepare them thoroughly for their exams. This step-by-step approach ensures students build a strong foundation and excel in their mathematical skills.
