Deepika A.

Deepika holds a master’s degree in Chemistry with a specialisation in Physical Chemistry. She has been a qualified science teacher and tutor for over seven years, teaching biology, chemistry, and physics to students up to GCSE level. During this time, she has developed an in-depth knowledge of the AQA syllabus as well as the newer GCSE (9-1) science curriculum.

Deepika has an infectious passion for science and finds great satisfaction in sharing her knowledge and helping her students to succeed. She believes in the importance of exam technique and strives to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment, tailoring her teaching style to the individual strengths and needs of each student. Deepika stays up-to-date on her continuous professional development (CPD), so she always has a thorough understanding and knowledge of pedagogy.

Cheryl W.

After completing a BSc (Hons) in Health Science, Cheryl went on to gain her PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, alongside her PGCE from the University of Buckingham, leading to QTS.

She has extensive experience teaching A Level Biology and Chemistry in both secondary schools and online, with a strong focus on the AQA and OCR specifications. Cheryl’s teaching style is clear and structured, helping students build a solid understanding of key scientific concepts while growing in confidence.

Alongside this, she places a strong emphasis on exam technique. Through targeted past paper practice and careful modelling of high-mark answers, Cheryl helps students understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to achieve top grades. Her supportive and engaging approach ensures students feel confident, motivated, and fully prepared to succeed in their exams.

Esther S.

Esther holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol and has over 27 years of experience teaching science across a wide range of settings, including state and independent schools, sixth forms, alternative provision, and international environments. She has held roles as both a subject lead and Head of Science. Esther has taught all three sciences across Key Stages 2–4 and Biology at A Level, and has experience developing and delivering science curricula.

Esther is passionate about making science engaging and accessible to all students. She recognises that students learn in different ways and adapts her teaching accordingly, using a range of approaches to build understanding, confidence, and long-term success.

Clifford P.

Clifford studied Biochemistry at the University of Brighton, where he earned a BSc (Hons), before completing his MSc at the University of London. He has six years’ experience teaching Science in both state and independent schools across West Sussex and Surrey, and is currently Head of GCSE Science at an independent school in Surrey.

Clifford has also been an online tutor for the past five years, teaching GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A Level students. He has extensive experience supporting SEN learners, particularly those with ASD, ADD and ADHD.

Clifford’s teaching approach is engaging and structured: first, we learn, then we apply. Sessions typically begin with a rapid review of the topic, supported by targeted questioning to check understanding. This is followed by applying the learning to exam-style questions, with a focus on model answers and exam technique.
