Chemistry A Level Christmas Revision Course – Online

Course Information

Course Description

Our Chemistry mock preparation courses will get students off to a flying start with their January mock preparation. Tutors will revise key Year 13 content which is likely to have been covered in the Autumn term. Attention will then be focused on improving exam technique. By showing students how to think like an examiner, tutors will enable students to consistently hit all assessment objectives and score those top marks. Getting the ball rolling early with revision means students will have time to work on any weaknesses identified by the course during the Christmas holidays. Having this time to consolidate the skills and knowledge learnt means students will be ready to ace their exams when they return to school.

Learners are supported beyond the course through the provision of high-quality, comprehensive and original material including notes, guides and question booklets. These resources have been specially designed and created to supplement the learning experience

Suitable for:

  • Year 13 students
  • Students looking to improve exam technique in preparation for their January mock exams
  • Year 12 students
  • Students who haven’t already been taught the topics in the course timetable
  • Students who are predicted D or below

If you need help deciding if you will benefit from this course you can contact us. Alternatively, you may prefer to book 1-2-1 tuition instead.

Our Tutors

At PMT Courses we work with a talented team of professional teachers and tutors, many of whom have worked at some of the best-rated schools in the UK. We’ve recruited them not only for their exceptional academic credentials but also for their innovative teaching styles, infectious enthusiasm, and wealth of experience too.

Sean C.

Sean C.

Sean has been teaching chemistry for an impressive 34 years. He’s worked in state and independent schools throughout Yorkshire, including the nationally acclaimed Greenhead Sixth Form College, and has held positions including head of chemistry and head of science. More recently, he was a year head at The Grammar School at Leeds, where he maintained a pastoral responsibility for both GCSE and A Level students.

Sean now works part-time as a GCSE and A Level Chemistry tutor, offering both in-person and online lessons. In addition to his broad knowledge, his experience as an A Level examiner (for both AQA and Cambridge International Examinations) allows him to thoroughly prepare students for their exams while helping them to develop their independent learning skills and confidence. Outside teaching, Sean enjoys rounds of golf, cycling through the glorious Yorkshire countryside, and spending time with his family.

If you would like 1-2-1 tuition with Sean you can find his profile on our tuition platform.

Alyssa C.

Alyssa C.

Alyssa earned her Master’s degree in Chemistry at Southampton University, which included a six-month stint of research at Dunedin University in New Zealand. After gaining her PGCE in Science from Oxford University, Alyssa spent three years teaching secondary school and sixth-form in Northamptonshire before moving down to Somerset to become a school-based tutor for science and maths.

Alyssa now has over five years of experience as an online and in-person tutor, teaching all three sciences and maths. Passionate and enthusiastic about her profession, she embraces the fact that everyone thinks and learns differently and enjoys the challenge of tailoring her teaching style to best fit her students.

If you would like 1-2-1 tuition with Alyssa you can find her profile on our tuition platform.

How do your online A Level Chemistry revision courses work?

Our online revision courses take place within Google Classroom, keeping everything organised in one convenient hub. From here, you’ll be able to access our bespoke course resources and join the live lessons which take place on Google Meet.

Students can interact with the teacher using their microphone or the chat feature.

All sessions are recorded. The lesson recordings are uploaded after each day, allowing you to watch them back for a recap whenever you like

When will I receive the Google Classroom link for my online revision course?

You should receive your Google Classroom link via email the day before your course starts. Sometimes these emails go to the junk folder so check there before contacting us if you haven’t received it

When will I receive my revision course handouts?

You will receive physical copies of the handouts 3-5 days before the start of your online course, as long as you book with us before the printing deadline. You can find the printing deadline in the course summary box on each booking page.

Please note: we can only send printed handouts to students in the UK.

What if my exam board isn’t listed?

If you can’t see your exam board then we are afraid we aren’t running a course for it. However, this doesn’t mean that one of our courses won’t be useful for you. Contact us to see which course is more closely aligned with your exam board.
