Course Description

This on-demand course will cover all the mathematical knowledge and skills students need for their AQA or OCR Biology A level exams. From microscopy calculations to statistical tests, students will leave this course feeling able to answer even the most difficult questions.

Pupils often struggle with the maths side of A level Biology, particularly if their other chosen subjects are Arts or Humanities-based. This course will teach students the methods they need to tackle maths questions with ease, and help them understand the underlying concepts behind each step. This deeper understanding will ensure they are less likely to make mistakes in the future.

The simple methods taught in this course will save time in exams and can be applied to questions of all difficulty levels. Overall, students will finish feeling confident and ready to excel in the year ahead.

As well as teaching biology and biology-adjacent subjects, Teresa mentors other teachers in IT and works as an A Level Biology examiner for two different exam boards. The latter has given her a thorough insight into today’s papers, allowing her to build teaching strategies that provide students with the knowledge, application skills and confidence to ace their exams.
