I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Economics and Business, having taught in London for 10 years. I was previously based in a leading London grammar secondary school, where I specialised in macroeconomics. My 2026 cohort achieved 80% A*-A in A-level Economics, with an average of 85% on Paper 2. I also have experience teaching Business and Economics across key stage 4 and key stage 5, with knowledge of both the Edexcel and AQA specifications. This includes teaching A-level Economics, A-level Business, and BTEC Level 3. In addition, I have experience as an Examiner for A-level Economics/Business and GCSE Business/Economics.

I believe strongly in supporting students to become confident, competent, and independent learners, tailoring each programme of study to their individual needs and goals. My favourite part of tutoring is seeing that progression — watching students become more proactive and engaged as their confidence grows.

My approach is adaptive. At the start, I work with each student to identify what they most want to focus on, whether that's strengthening core understanding, building exam technique, or a mix of both. Lessons are collaborative and supportive, with plenty of room for questions, so students feel comfortable exploring ideas rather than worrying about getting things wrong.

I place a strong emphasis on exam writing technique alongside solid understanding of key economic concepts, diagrams, and models, since strong exam answers need both. I use past paper questions, mark schemes, and model answers to help students see exactly what examiners are looking for, and I build in regular feedback so students can track their own progress and stay motivated.
