I have been teaching Physics at GCSE and A Level since 1994 and I have helped numerous students achieve the top grades and secure places at a range of universities. I teach the whole specification and have done so throughout my teaching career. I have been Head of Physics in two schools and that is my current position. I understand that Physics can be challenging and my goal is to make it understandable, accessible and enjoyable for my students. In addition to teaching my classes I run several support sessions on a one to one or small group basis.

When tutoring my priority is the needs of my students. Different students require different approaches and across my career I have been able to identify and adapt to meet the needs of my students. Sessions could address any knowledge gaps, allow students to feel comfortable with the content and then confident enough to apply it. Also sessions on effective revision and examination technique are possible. On meeting a student I will endeavour to get to the cause of the problem and work with them to increase confidence and therefore attainment.
