About me!

I’m Mustafa, a 3rd-year medical student at the University of Sheffield! I have had a long academic journey with many ups: Grade 9-8s at GCSEs, three A*S at A-Level (including Biology and Chemistry) and top quintile each year at medical school so far. But also a gap year to reapply to med school, turning 0 offers in Year 13 to 4 from top medical schools. I’ve learned how to excel academically, focusing on the quality of my learning. The quality I would deliver in any teaching with you.

Past experience!

-> Medicine and Dentistry interview preparations. With two of my recent pupils both gaining an offer to study at their top choice!

-> Tutoring in Chemistry and Biology, tackling common pitfalls and building confidence and exam technique.

-> Teaching and mentoring peers throughout the year in my course. 

-> Residence Life Mentor; ensuring first-year students succeed academically and in university life.

Teaching that is tailored for you!

Teaching others is a great passion of mine. With my experience, you can be confident that I will deliver an excellent and tailored teaching experience. Our lessons will be tailored to your needs and style of learning. For example, I'm dyslexic, but I have found ways to adapt by breaking down challenging topics into easy and digestible chunks. I'm keen to help you in this way as well! Studying hasn't always been easy for me in the past, and I've learned tips and tricks along the way, knowledge I'm keen to pass on to you!

Generally, I aim to recap a topic, answer some practice questions, and identify and correct any gaps in your knowledge. This process is a two-way street; you can help tailor your sessions to particular topics you would like, or let me guide you through the syllabus.
