I have been a successful teacher of Economics and Business across a range of school settings including selective grammar schools, private schools, faith and co-educational state schools. Throughout this time I have successfully enabled students to achieve progression onto Economics and Business related degrees in some of the most prestigious Russell Group universities including Oxford and Cambridge. I have also supported students who go on to gain placements for Financial and Accountancy Degree Apprenticeships. I am a Team Lead examiner for AQA Economics and as such am able to teach exam technique and essay writing structure alongside subject content to A*/A grades. I am able to support students across both AQA and Edexcel exam boards. 

My breadth of experience across different educational settings has enabled me to adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of the learner. I use a range of learning resources with a key focus on topical case study material. Economics and Business both lend themselves to current world affairs and the use of current, newsworthy case study application brings to life the relevance of the subject. The quantitative elements of both courses are scaffolded with exemplar materials which are structured to encourage confidence in tackling mathematical problems. Students will practice exam questions in a supported environment in each lesson, familiarising themselves with exam technique in essay structure and the relevant grading criteria, to enable them to reach their potential. I hope to provide a friendly and enjoyable learning experience.
