Teaching career includes Manchester Grammar School, Bradford Grammar School (Head of Chemistry), Bolton School (Head of Chemistry and Head of Science) and National Mathematics and Science College (current and part-time). 

Former Senior Examiner with several leading awarding bodies. Previous examining experience also includes International Baccalaureate (examiner and team leader). 

In recent years he has delivered workshops to support teachers in Dubai, Egypt, Jordan and China.

Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Having represented the England Senior water polo team as well as coaching the GB Junior team he understands the importance of time management and achieving goals!

Using my experience to help students improve responses to ensure they are awarded valuable marks which will help them meet their UCAS offers.

My ethos is to engage students to enable them to achieve their potential. My subject knowledge has been honed through extensive classroom practice, running successful departments and decades of examining experience. Any incorrect chemistry and misconceptions will be identified and addressed. Students will be challenged both in lessons and with homework to consolidate their learning. Bespoke worksheets (relevant to your exam board) and past exam papers will be a key focus.
