I`ve recently completed a PhD in the physics of complex systems at the University of Manchester, during which I published several research papers about the functioning of ecosystems. I have been tutoring for over 10 years. This has included one-on-one tutoring of maths, further maths, and physics from GCSE to undergraduate degree levels, as well as teaching in the physics department at the University of Manchester for three and a half years during my PhD.

I focus on building confidence and skill through doing lots of example problems at the right level of difficulty for the student. A typical lesson with me centres around some carefully chosen example questions in a given subject area. Many of the example questions I go through with students are from past papers, as this both helps us to learn the subject matter and gain familiarity with the specific types of question that may be asked. I try to make sure that lessons are enjoyable (or at least not not enjoyable), interesting, and that they do not feel too pressurised or formal.
