I bring over 10 years’ experience working with young people as both a Tutor and Classroom Teacher. With a background in Materials Engineering and extensive R&D expertise, I make learning relevant by linking academic concepts to real-world applications. My in-depth knowledge of the UK curriculum allows me to deliver tailored support that empowers students to achieve their full potential.

I am a Qualified Teacher (QTS) with experience teaching GCSE, A-level, and BTEC across both secondary schools and FE colleges, enabling me to adapt to a wide range of learners and learning styles. In addition, I have over 7 years’ experience as a Science Examiner (Combined Science, Biology, Physics), equipping my students with the skills and confidence to excel in exams. As a bilingual tutor (English and Korean), I can also support Korean-speaking students in bridging language gaps and achieving success.

My tutoring sessions begin by assessing students’ prior knowledge and identifying misconceptions to build a solid foundation for progress. I simplify complex concepts using clear explanations, relatable examples, and engaging tools such as Desmos. I challenge advanced students with problem solving tasks, and always provide tailored resources for independent revision. As an experienced examiner, I help students master exam techniques through practice questions, mark scheme analysis, and detailed feedback. My goal is to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning, helping students not only succeed in exams but also better understand and navigate the world.
