Understanding is at the heart of how I teach. I believe if a student can understand mathematics they will never need to memorise anything for their exams. I always strive to go beyond the curriculum if it will help a student to grasp a concept more concretely. Lessons with me are fun, exciting, and challenging with my aim to develop my students love for mathematics as well as their ability in the subject. At the centre of how I teach is a process called Socratic questioning whereby I ask the right questions to students to help them get to the answere themselves rather than just telling them how to do something. Through this process students feel like they are discovering mathematics themselves.
