I'm a full-time IB HL Physics and Maths specialist with over a decade of teaching experience across some of the UK's leading independent schools, including Wellington College, Repton, and Whitgift, as well as international schools in Spain and Mexico. I hold a BSc in Physics from Bristol, a PGCE from Southampton, and an MA in Education and Technology from UCL - which informs how I use digital tools to make complex concepts genuinely click. Every student learns differently, and I adapt my approach to suit each individual. Rather than simply telling students what to do, I focus on building genuine understanding: why a concept works, where students commonly make mistakes, and how an examiner thinks. I regularly ask students to become assessors themselves - analysing real answers, identifying why one kind of answer gains marks but another does not. Beyond exam technique, I invest time in getting to know each student - their ambitions, their interests, what motivates them. Physics and Maths are more enjoyable when they connect to something real, and students who enjoy their sessions make faster progress.
