I am an experienced and qualified Economics and Business teacher with over 11 years of teaching across UK and international British schools. I served as Head of Business and Economics for four years and have examiner experience with AQA and Edexcel, providing in-depth knowledge of exam standards and the ability to offer answers structures, exemplar answers and plenty of top tips to secure top marks. 

I have taught in leading international private schools ranked among the top globally, with students achieving exceptional results, including the highest A-level result in Economics in Hong Kong and across Asia. Across large cohorts, my students consistently achieved outstanding examination results, with very high proportions of A*-A grades. I believe in building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation, which has helped many students develop confidence and a strong love for economics and business.

My tutoring approach is structured, personalised and focused on building deep understanding alongside strong exam performance. Lessons are thoroughly planned to meet individual learning needs and academic goals, with a clear focus on progression towards higher grades.

A key priority in my teaching is developing core exam skills: knowledge, application, analysis and evaluation. Every session includes retrieval practice from across the course to strengthen long-term retention, targeted examination practice and detailed, constructive feedback to refine these skills. 

Lessons are interactive and intellectually challenging, involving questioning, critical thinking, frequent diagram work and strong links to real-world contexts.
