Hi there! My name is Asha, and I am a highly experienced Biology teacher with over 11 years of experience in the field. I have a specialism in teaching and tutoring Biology at GCSE and A-Level, and I am passionate about helping students to achieve their full potential.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have also been tutoring for over 5 years on numerous platforms, online and face-to-face. Through online tutoring, I have been able to help students all over the world to improve their grades and develop a deeper understanding of Biology.

I have worked as a Head of KS4 Science teacher for 11 years with a specialism in teaching and tutoring Biology at GCSE. Last year, my students achieved 95% grades 9-7, ultimately raising my departments profile and contributed to my school becoming the 6th highest achieving school nationally. 

I will begin with a short consultation in my first session, where I will address what particular areas I should focus on with the student. I do this is a very professional, calm manner and give the student all the help needed to discover where they are and where they would like to be at the end of the sessions. I believe the key to success are to make good relationships with students and tailoring resources to meet their needs. I also believe that drawing out any misconceptions in learning and closing these gaps will allow students to achieve their potential. 

In addition to this, I have worked closely for many years with exam boards (OCR and AQA) and have extensive knowledge of what is required in GCSE exams to achieve maximum marks. I therefore also have a bank of approved resources that I will use with students for homework and revision.
