I have over 13 years of teaching experience and have excellent knowledge of AQA A level, Edexcel IGCSE, AQA GCSE and IB Diploma Higher and Standard level. I am in my 6th year as Head of Chemistry at a top rated independent school. I have experinece of tutoring one to one both in person and online. I have also helped many students write personal statements for UCAS and to prepare for medical school tests and interviews. I have a PGCE in Chemistry and strong scientific background as I completed a PhD and 4 years of postdoctoral research before becoming a teacher. 

I will calmly explain concepts and ideas to you in a way that helps you understand the processes occurring in chemistry, ensuring that you are using the correct key terminology and expressions to achieve marks in exam questions. I can help you summarise ideas for each key topic and will move through ideas at a pace that suits you. I will ask you lots of questions to make sure that you really understand what you need to learn and have lots of useful acronyms and simple steps to help you learn and remember the facts needed to excel in Chemistry at GCSE or A Level.
