I’m a Cambridge graduate who is passionate about helping students succeed. 

I have been teaching and tutoring iGCSE and GCSE biology for over 10 years.

I understand HOW to help students learn and I tutor both high achievers and those requiring help with motivation, facilitating them to reach academic success. Many of my students improve their exam results by 2-5 grades.

Learning HOW to learn is so important; I will help you personalise and hone your study skills.

A bit more about me: I have many years experience teaching KS3 and GCSE science. My favourite subject is biology and, whilst I still teach all 3 sciences, I've decided to focus on GCSE and iGCSE biology for tuturoing.

I home educated my children who both achieved top grades in their GCSEs and A levels. As well as being a devoted parent, I enjoy lots of sports including wild swimming, running, frisbee and being outdoors in nature.

I effectively communicate and demystify the content, helping students engage with their subject 

I explore the best methods for each student to understand and retain the material, developing the skills and attitudes which allow their learning to become an enjoyable, rewarding experience. 

Exam technique is another area where a better understanding of the required processes can make a big difference to confidence and ultimately success.

Through my own studies and many years of tutoring students I have learned how to encourage a love of learning and to faciliate students' exam journey be more enjoyable and fruitful.
