I have been teaching English Language and English Literature up to GCSE for the past 12 years including two years teaching iGCSE. I have also taught the Combined AQA A Level Language & Literature and the Edexcel A Level Literature. Recently I have prepared Spanish students for the iGCSE in English as a Second Language and Cambridge First Certificate.

I have just moved back to the UK after 2 years in a British School in Spain and am looking to set up as an online tutor. I have experience of working with students with Autism, ADHD and dyslexia.

I look to foster a positive working relationship with students, getting to know them as individuals and helping them to build strategies for success. I will impart knowledge clearly and succinctly and where there is opportunity for individual expression, I will work with students to build their confidence and develop their understanding of the exam board requirements. Technical accuracy is a consideration in English language and I will work with students to develop their ability to spot their own mistakes and correct them. Overall, I aim to develop a student's independence and ability to function in the exam without anxiety.
