Hi, welcome to my profile!

I’m Patricia, a current trainee teacher in Physics with Maths at UCL, and a Graduate in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford. 

I’ve taught hundreds of students from all over the world, including two years living and teaching abroad in Hong Kong. I have experience working with GCSE, IGCSE and IB students both in person and online. I have also worked with younger students on 11+ and 13+ exams helping them gain entry into competitive schools such as Harrow, Wycombe Abbey and Downe house.

To me, nothing is more rewarding than watching my students grow, whether that's by achieving top grades or finally enjoying a subject they once feared! 

When I'm not teaching, you'll find me travelling or hanging out with my dog, Patches, who occasionally likes to make guest appearances in our lessons. 🐾

Every lesson is carefully tailored to address your specific needs and learning goals. We usually begin by reviewing the concepts you're finding most challenging. I take great care to explain things clearly, and will happily go over material multiple times, presenting it in different ways either through visuals, analogies, or real-world examples until it properly makes sense to you. There's no judgment and we move forward at exactly the pace you feel comfortable with. 

Each session follows a flexible format to help you build both understanding and confidence. We start with a recap of previous material to reinforce your learning, then work through core concepts together before practicing with guided examples. Finally, we apply this knowledge to exam-style questions, where I'll share valuable strategies for tackling different question types efficiently. 

Between lessons, I can provide curated worksheets and relevant past paper problems if you'd like extra material to work on. Additionally, you're always welcome to bring any problems that may have confused you, and we'll break them down together.
