Hello!

I am a passionate and enthusiastic geography teacher with 10 years of teaching experience. Exam groups I taught have achieved very well with many accessing the top grades. I have success in raising achievements for SEN/ EAL students and support Higher Prior Attainment students reach their full potential (with 20% of my mixed ability group GCSE class achieving grade 9).  

I offer bespoke geography lessons from KS3 to KS5 level as well as Nat 5 level. Provide tailored tutoring for exam preparations and all my lessons are interactive and support the need of the student. Support with essay writing, NEAs (coursework) for A level. Last year, students that I guided through NEA all achieved A grades with one candidate receiving full marks. I can provide online or in person sessions, revision/ assessment resources as well as feedback on past paper questions.

Exam Board expertise in AQA GCSE and A-level, however, I do also tutor students taking other major exam board specifications such as Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge International as well as Qualifications Scotland: National 5 Geography. I have worked as an examiner so I know the specific requirements to access the highest grades.  

About me: I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham and studied a range of Geography topics and a PGCE (with Merit) also from the University of Nottingham. NPQLTD a DfE accredited qualification. I am also UNCC:Learn accredited Climate Change Teacher. 

I have a full and current DBS/ PVG so that you can be confident in a safe and professional learning environment.

I like to create a positive learning environment and provide engaging resources for all my students. Focusing on breaking down exam questions and applying examples relevant to individual students. As an experienced teacher I have a bank of resources available for revision and can create tailored resources for various learners.
I like to start with identifying student's strength and weaknesses so that we can come up with achievable targets to work on.
