I specialise in helping students who are anxious, have lost confidence, or require a more patient and understanding teaching style, especially for students who may have struggled in mainstream education.  

I like to create a calm environment where students can comfortably discuss topics which they are struggling with, and that we can then immediately start working on to help improve skills & confidence.

We then work together to create a plan to tackle difficult topics on a timescale with manageable expectations, whilst setting & marking independent work to help solidify concepts outside of lesson time. Granular feedback is given at each step of the way to ensure that grades are improving to where they need to be for post A-Level study.

I give specialist exam techniques & advice to students, particularly techniques which work for students who struggle with the fundamentals of revision, or are unable to get started due to underlying issues with confidence or learning difficulties.

I also have significant experience in working with students who are partially or entirely homeschooled where I am their only teacher for physics and/or maths. This involves delivering the entire content of both years of the A-Level courses, developing long term strategies, setting & marking mock papers, assisting with UCAS applications, advising exam board selection, and guidance on independently completing the physics practical endorsement. Every student I have worked with in this capacity has achieved their desired grades by the end of our time working together. 

I truly believe that every student is capable of achieving their goals, and every single student I have worked with has improved their confidence & academic abilities due to our time working together.
