Janie-lea J.

Hi! My name is Janie, I am 24 and I am a full-time private tutor. I am new to this site but have been teaching online since April 2025 on a different site. I have just completed my Masters in Psychology after my psychology degree (BSc Hons). My focus is in forensic psychology with a strength in research methods and statistics.

I am available to teach GCSE - University level Psychology.

I am available to teach in the week and Sundays.

I adapt my sessions completely to your needs. I can cover theory to exam prep and will tutor sessions to your preferred learning style. Homework is optional and based on your availability and preferences.

Students are given the chance to recall what they know /work without assistance first to strengthen their current knowledge. We then cover what is missing, then student is asked questions to make sure they have understood/apply the knowledge they have just learnt. This helps form/strengthen the neural pathways in the brain and keeps the student practising their exam techniques. It also allows me to see if any knowledge needs recapping before we move on.

I try and keep my sessions light-hearted, I do not want students to dreading coming to the session. Students have enough pressure from teachers at school and homework. We work together to get the work done and adapt to their mood/energy levels on the day. This approach works really well and generally my students leave my sessions happier and more confident.
