I am an Oxford University graduate, with a First in History and English. I have experience teaching English at a summer school in Hong Kong, and I have an exceptional academic background. I was awarded a Gibbs History Prize by Oxford for the second-highest performance in History finals. I would love to hear from students looking for GCSE English (Literature and Language) tuition. I am also able to help students prepare for university applications, including Oxbridge personal statements and interview preparation. 

I like to help students build or consolidate their overall understanding of key texts through close reading sessions, as well as thematic approaches based on common past paper topics. For a first session, I would typically talk about a key passage with the student, focussing on moving the discussion towards the deep, insightful analysis that will secure top GCSE grades. I can also help with essay plannning and writing as we move towards exam season. 

I have also experience tutoring students on Oxbridge admissions, and would be happy to hear from students thinking about their application next autumn.
