I am a fully qualified teacher with over thirteen years of classroom experience across Singapore and the United Kingdom. I have completed my QTS and PGCE through a SCITT programme in the UK with NELTA and University of Sussex in 2026. I have taught Geography to students aged 11 to 19 across KS3, GCSE and A‑Level, and am highly familiar with AQA, Edexcel A and Edexcel B specifications, as well as IGCSE and IB Geography. I also have experience teaching GCSE Business and supporting students with IGCSE Environmental Management. My own educational journey — born in China, migrating to Singapore as a teenager, and now living in the UK — has given me a deep appreciation for how geography helps students understand their place in the world. Beyond subject knowledge, I have a strong record of supporting students with SEND, EAL and disadvantaged backgrounds, having served on pastoral committees designing intervention programmes and mentoring at‑risk students. I have contributed to the Spotlight Mentoring programme and a homework club in my UK SCITT school. I am passionate about helping every student discover their potential, whether they are aiming for top grades or seeking to build foundational confidence in the subject.

I keep lessons calm, patient and tailored to each student. I start by understanding where they are and what they need, then build from there. For some students, that means breaking down tricky topics with visuals and real‑world examples; for others, it means sharpening exam technique through past papers, model answers and structured feedback. I use mini‑whiteboards, retrieval practice and scaffolded resources to check understanding along the way. Above all, I listen and adapt as we go, so students feel supported, not pressured, and leave each session feeling more capable than before.
