I am a Bioscience graduate from the University of Exeter with over 8 years of teaching experience, providing specialised tuition to students in south-east London. My work has involved supporting students with varied learning styles and goals, helping them to excel academically. I currently teach science and mathematics part-time at an independent school in London, and hold Goldsmiths University accredited qualifications in Teaching and Learning, as well as Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). 

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the recognition that standardised, exam-based education can be challenging for many students. To address this, I focus on minimising rote learning and guiding students to approach problems from first principles, wherever the curriculum allows. I also apply visual learning and semantic mapping to aid in conceptual understanding of topics. This approach not only enhances critical thinking but also fosters deeper engagement and higher academic achievement.
