I have been teaching for over 25 years and am an ex-head of department, examiner and classroom teacher. So I have worked with thousands of students and prepared them for exams. This means I really do understand what it is that makes candidates lose or gain marks. I have taught online for 13 years and cover all boards and levels so I am very experienced in the online setting. I specialise in diagnosing the precise issue and then work with you to target weaknesses as well as optimising the chance of picking up marks through brain-based learning and exam tips and tricks.

Depending on the time in the academic year, my lessons may go over basics that need revisiting, or support you in developing deeper appreciation of texts, as expected for the higher grades, and always with lots of lively discussions. As exams get closer we delve into past papers and the marking process, de-mystifying the markscheme so you don't waste time on things that carry no credit but you do focus on exactly what the examiners are looking for. I have high standards and will push you but it means you will get the top marks!
