Hello, my name is Ankita! 

I'm a qualified medical doctor with over 8 years of teaching experience. Many of my students have achieved A and A* grades and gone on to study at Oxbridge and other top UK universities.

What I Offer:

Every lesson is planned around you. Some students come to me to get to grips with a topic that just isn’t clicking, some want to sharpen their exam technique, and some simply want to get ahead. I keep explanations clear and straightforward, and I’ll show you revision methods that actually work, along with how to approach exam questions so you pick up the marks. I teach all the major exam boards.

I’m a doctor, so I’ve been through the process myself and know what medical schools and other healthcare courses look for. I can help with personal statements, UCAT preparation, interviews and admissions tests, and university applications and portfolios.

Availability

I work hospital shifts and my rota changes from week to week, so I add new slots every Sunday evening for the week ahead. I also teach at weekends. If you can’t see a time that suits you, drop me a message and I’ll do my best to fit you in.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Because of my rota, and because I prepare each lesson in advance, I’d be grateful for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel.

If you let me know more than 48 hours before, there’s no charge and we can rearrange.

Between 24 and 48 hours before, I’ll charge part of the fee, and I’ll try to find another slot if I can.

With less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you don’t turn up, the full fee applies.

My tutoring style is structured but flexible, with each lesson tailored to your needs and goals. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as that’s often where the best learning happens.

I specialise in Biology and Chemistry, breaking complex topics down into simple, memorable steps. Sessions are student-led, so you decide what we focus on, and I guide you with clear explanations, real-world examples and discussion. I check that you’ve truly understood each idea before we move on, not just memorised it.

In our first session, I’ll find out where you are, what you find difficult and what you want to achieve. I then plan lessons around your goals and adjust as we go based on your progress.

I use past papers, mark schemes and my own practice questions so you know exactly what examiners are looking for. We’ll work on exam technique, time management and answering questions in a way that gains full marks. I focus on steady, visible progress so you can see how far you’ve come, which builds confidence and motivation. I also help you develop good study habits, including planning revision, using active recall and spaced repetition, and working independently between lessons.

Medicine and Dentistry Admissions

Interviews: I use a large bank of real interview questions from different universities and tailor practice to the medical schools you're applying to. We'll refine your answers, cover what to include and what to avoid, and build clear, confident responses.

Personal Statements: I review your statement in real time. You can share your draft during the session and we'll edit it together line by line until it's polished and effective.

UCAT: I break down each question type so you fully understand the strategies before moving on to timed practice under exam conditions. Sessions include practice questions, detailed feedback, exam technique and mock test support to help you reach your best score.
