Lesson lengths: 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours

My hospital rota changes each week, so I update my availability weekly.

New slots are added every Sunday evening for the week ahead.

📌 Cancellations & Rescheduling

Because my rota changes and I prepare each lesson in advance, please give as much notice as possible.

More than 48 hours' notice: No charge. The lesson can be rescheduled. 

24–48 hours' notice: Partial charge. I'll try to reschedule, subject to availability.

Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: Full fee charged.

My tutoring style is structured but flexible, with each lesson tailored to your needs and goals. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as that's often where the best learning happens.

How I Teach:

I specialise in Biology and Chemistry, breaking complex topics down into simple, memorable steps. Sessions are student-led, so you decide what we focus on, and I guide you with clear explanations, real-world examples and discussion. I check that you've truly understood each idea before we move on, not just memorised it.

Personalising Your Lessons

In our first session, I'll find out where you are, what you find difficult and what you want to achieve. I then plan lessons around your goals and adjust as we go based on your progress.

Resources and Exam Preparation

I use past papers, mark schemes and my own practice questions so you know exactly what examiners are looking for. We'll work on exam technique, time management and answering questions in a way that gains full marks.

Confidence, Motivation and Study Skills

I focus on steady, visible progress so you can see how far you've come, which builds confidence and motivation. I also help you develop good study habits, including planning revision, using active recall and spaced repetition, and working independently between lessons.

Medicine and Dentistry Admissions

Interviews: I use a large bank of real interview questions from different universities and tailor practice to the medical schools you're applying to. We'll refine your answers, cover what to include and what to avoid, and build clear, confident responses.

Personal Statements: I review your statement in real time. You can share your draft during the session and we'll edit it together line by line until it's polished and effective.

UCAT: I break down each question type so you fully understand the strategies before moving on to timed practice under exam conditions. Sessions include practice questions, detailed feedback, exam technique and mock test support to help you reach your best score.
