Hello! I'm Logan. I'm an expert in assisting prospective university students with scholarships, funding opportunities, and university selection. I've received various scholarships across my academic career including the Chinese Government Scholarship for Chinese Language Studies, the Chinese Government Scholarship for MA Sociology, and the London Arts and Humanities Partnership Doctoral Training Partnership Studentship for my PhD in Linguistics. 

My academic journey has taken me from the Univeristy of the Pacific in Stockton, California, to Shanghai University, where I earned my Master of Arts in Sociology, to SOAS, University of London, where I achieved distinction in Language Documentation and Description. I'm currently pursuing my Doctor of Philosophy at Queen Mary University of London where my research centers on decolonising literacy and understanding the success factors behind newly invented writing systems for Indigenous languages in India.

In addition to my research, I've had the opportunity to share my findings at international conferences, including recent appearances at the LIPP-Symposium in Munich, Germany, and as a guest speaker at the International History Research Seminar at the London School of Economics. These experiences have broadened my perspectives and allowed me to contribute to global discussions on linguistics and sociolinguistics.

Alongside my PhD, I'm a teaching assistant at University College London (UCL), where I deliver tutorials for undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Phonetics and Phonology. Here I foster a supportive learning environment and assist students in grasping complex linguistic concepts.

I'm dedicated to guiding students worldwide through the process of international university applications and scholarship funding. Our sessions will be student-centric. Alongside offering advice and support with university applications I can help you navigate scholarship databases, craft strong applications, and secure financial support.

I'll empower you to take ownership of the application process by guiding you through what you need to do. In line with my guiding principle of fostering independent learning, I refrain from simply providing solutions or completing tasks on behalf of students. Instead, I adopt a guiding role, offering support and direction as students navigate the complexities of scholarship applications and university choices.
